About MeHello, My name is Mary Duval and I'm just like you. I'm a regular person who is carrying more weight than she should be. I'm also less active than I should be. And hopefully like you, I'm determined to do something about it. We are told over and over again that we need to watch what we eat and to get more exercise. If you read the newspaper or watch the news, you know it has become a national obsession. Everyone is trying to tell us what to do, how to do, and that we need to do it now! On top of all this, everyone has their own version of what we should be doing and how it should be done. THEN you have the scam artists that prey on those of us who are desperate enough to fall for their lines. So, what are we supposed to do? I've struggled with weight for almost my entire life. I have tried a great many of the diet and exercise programs that are out there. I've had some success with most of them and have done quite well on others. However, like most people, once I go off those diets, I end up gaining the weight back. After years of searching, reading, watching, and dieting, there is one thing that all these programs have in common...common sense. I've realized that losing weight, being physically active, and living a healthy life just boils down to common sense and doing what we know is right. The problem is, our world is so polluted with conflicting opinions and scams, that we forget all about common sense. And that's why I put this site together. I can't tell you what the best diet is for you I'm not you! However, I can give you the tools to help you decide what is best for you. I can point you to good advice and help you steer clear of the scams. Heck, I've almost fallen for some of these scams myself. I mean, who wouldn't want to be able to pop a pill and lose weight without diet and exercise? Unfortunately, I haven't found that magic pill yet (and no matter what the commercials tell you, no one else has, either!). I want this site to be a journey that we travel together. I want to lose 70 pounds and substantially increase my physical activity level. I hope you will join me in my adventure! Now, if you are not overweight, you might still need to increase your physical activity level. No matter your weight, you can benefit from regular exercise. So, if you are just looking for tips on getting more exercise in, there are TONS of articles here to help you out. So, look around the site and read through the articles. I'm sure you will find a bunch of articles to help you reach your weight loss and activity goals. Thanks for stopping by! Mary |
